If you are currently making over $400k in your role and are trying to find another opportunity that you can achieve that income or higher, this is the position for you!!!

My client will consider sales reps from outside of the medical device industry – even payroll services if you are a good fit. Otherwise, this role is for sales reps who have  have sold expensive capital equipment to private businesses or physicians’ offices, not into hospitals but to actual private physician offices. This role is also for aesthetic laser or device sales Territory Managers who are ready for a promotion to this title. If you only have experience selling to a hospital where the doctor does not personally have to pay for the device you are selling, it is tough to get hired for this role. Sometimes, although it is rare, a client will consider experienced capital sales reps from outside the aesthetics industry, such as optical equipment sales, dental sales etc., for this role.  You would have to be closing your own deals and have successful sales numbers, such as over $2M annually, to be considered for this title of Area Sales Manager. The annual quota for an ASM is usually $2.5M to sometimes over $5M depending on the company.

This territory is large so there will be multiple overnights a week. It covers San Francisco, Sacramento, and up to Reno and all the town in-between. If you are not in a position that you can travel and drive during the week to cover the territory – stop reading.

  • Base Salary for the Northern California area is $75k and after commissions this role will pay over $500k. If you immediately want to stop reading this because of the base salary amount, then you are clearly not a fit for this role because you don’t believe you can sell and are wanting a job with a high base salary and little commissions because you “feel safer there”. I am not looking for reps that “feel safe” I am looking for rockstars that don’t give a hoot about the base salary. In fact if you have no idea what your current base salary is or your monthly car allowance because it’s the end of the year income you focus on, even better – your my guy!

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for sales of all company products within defined territory/Achieve sales targets.
  • Responsible for prospecting, customer presentations, product demonstrations, and closing sales transactions with customers.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing strategies for elevating sales.
  • Perform marketing research and manage territory.
  • Work with Field Service and all areas of corporate staff.
  • Have a Territory Manager under you to open doors, set appointments and be a lead generator
  • Work with a Post Sales rep to handle customer/client consumable needs etc.

Essential Requirements:

  • President’s Club/Rookie of the Year/Prestigious Sales Awards.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Successful, demonstrated experience selling capital equipment.
  • Must be a self-starter, results-driven, highly organized, with the ability to establish relationships quickly.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions in clear, concise, and easy-to-understand presentations.
  • Understand Return on Investment selling methodology.
  • Experience selling to plastic surgeons and physicians is preferred but not required.
  • Customer-Service driven and can interface with all levels of customers.
  • Heavy traveling experience is required for this position.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    Base Salary and on target earnings for this territory is huge! The current ASM has achieved over $800k on their W2 in 2022 & 2023.
